– In his speech at the summit in Astana, the Head of the state touched upon the issues of international cooperation and the problems of the global economy. In particular, he drew attention to the fact that crises in the world directly affect Central Asian countries.
Based on the common interests of security and its impact on our development, the Head of the state put forward more than ten important proposals and initiatives in six priority areas not only for Uzbekistan, but also for the Asian continent and the whole world.
In particular, he drew the attention of the summit participants to food security issues as one of the priority areas. In his speech, the Head of the state noted that most of the states of our continent are also the main importers of products.
The FAO estimates that about half of the world’s population facing hunger lives in Asia. The President of the country outlined new approaches in such areas as the formation of sustainable food production patterns and optimal food delivery chains, the harmonization of technical regulations for the growth of intra-regional trade, and the creation of an integrated system for monitoring food security in Asia.
All these issues are proposed to be discussed at an international conference under the auspices of FAO, which will be held in Uzbekistan next year. These proposals contribute to the development of correct and rational solutions to such an important issue for mankind – the provision of food.

It was noted that new geopolitical realities have a negative impact on the stability of the entire Asian region, crisis phenomena directly affect the states of Central Asia, hinder our efforts to deepen economic integration.
In his speech, the Head of the state drew attention to the fact that it is important to prevent the strengthening of protectionism, as well as the introduction of new restrictions that destabilize global markets, to strengthen connectivity in the Asian region, primarily through the creation of production and logistics chains and transport corridors, it is advisable to more fully use innovation transfer potential, actively stimulate digitalization, the development of cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things. This testifies to the implementation of a pragmatic foreign policy by Uzbekistan.

– In his speech at the international forum, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev assessed the current international situation, which is developing against the backdrop of an unprecedented lack of dialogue and trust, and growing uncertainty in international relations.
At the summit, the Head of the state noted the need for preventing factors from destabilizing global markets. New approaches have been proposed for food security. This is one of those issues that are currently relevant and very important for implementation.

Today no country can achieve economic growth without cooperation with neighboring or distant countries. Therefore, all the issues raised by the President at the summit call the countries of the world to harmony and unity.
