First Deputy Director of ISRS Akramjon Nematov, addressing the expert forum “Uzbekistan – Korea: A look into the future”, held on August 23, 2022, in Tashkent, emphasized that Uzbekistan’s cooperation with Korean research institutes has a long history.

“Over the past ten years, we have held about 20 joint events, both in Seoul and in Tashkent. We have worked very productively on the most pressing issues of international and regional security, the development of transport corridors, cooperation with the WTO, and strengthening multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Korea”, he noted.

According to Akramjon Nematov, such a positive experience of expert dialogue between the analytical circles of Uzbekistan and Korea proves its effectiveness, relevance and dictates the need for continuing this practice, a good tradition.

The forum, organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in partnership with the Korea – Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat, is attended by leading experts and heads of analytical centers, representatives of research and educational institutions of the two countries.
