On October 11, 2021, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Syed Ali Asad Gilani, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and discussed issues of interaction between the parties in the post-conflict period.

The need for joint efforts, both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of international and regional organizations, in particular the SCO, aimed at supporting peace and stability in Afghanistan was noted.

The importance of continuation by regional countries of all-round economic and humanitarian support to the Afghan people to prevent a humanitarian crisis in the country was stressed.
