Ismatulla Irgashev meets with Iranian Ambassador

Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hamid Nayyerabadi, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran in various fields, as well as issues of supporting international efforts to solve the Afghan problem were considered at the meeting.
The parties noted the intensification of the dialogue at various levels between the two countries and expressed their readiness to develop relations in areas of mutual interest.
The similarity of positions of Uzbekistan and Iran in addressing regional issues, in particular, problems of Afghanistan, was noted. The parties exchanged views on prospects for cooperation in this area.
