Berlin hosted a videoconference with the participation of representatives of the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ), the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection, as well as the General Prosecutor’s Office and the Supreme Judicial Council of Uzbekistan.

Deputy Prosecutor General Svetlana Artikova emphasized that the Uzbek side greatly appreciates Germany’s experience in the field of human rights and is ready for a close exchange in this direction. The fruitful cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office with the IRZ was also noted, examples of which were the assistance of German specialists in the development of the criminal and criminal procedure codes of Uzbekistan, webinars held on a comparative legal analysis of the administrative and criminal legislation of the two countries.

Participants of the videoconference discussed a joint Action Plan for 2021, which is planned to be implemented with the support of the IRZ with the participation of Uzbek partners.
