18 companies from China, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, India, South Africa, Russia, Spain, Norway and France participated in the pre-qualification selection. 15 companies successfully passed the selection.

The PVPs are expected to be launched by the end of 2022. The launch of the power plants will ensure the generation of 1.04 billion kWh of electricity per year.
During the talks with the participation of the International Finance Corporation representatives, construction sites were selected in Kattakurgan district of Samarkand and Gallaaral district of Jizzakh regions. The amount of attracted investments for the implementation of these two projects is estimated at $400 million.
