Investment projects in higher education
As previously reported, on January 8, a meeting dedicated to issues of accelerating implementation of investment projects of the current year was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, was dedicated to ensuring the execution of tasks outlined at the above-mentioned meeting in the higher education system.
As it was noted, there are a number of shortcomings in the higher education system, including in attracting foreign and local investors. Critical assessment was given to activities of higher education institutions that are not working enough in this sphere.
In addition, construction and repair of 54 facilities of higher education institutions in 2019 were planned, tasks in this area were defined.
