In Uzbekistan, special attention is paid to attracting foreign investment in each industry, creating a favorable investment environment, implementing large projects and, of course, achieving economic growth through this.
The above can be confirmed by the activity of an Afghan investor who has grown intensive orchards on 400 hectares in Syrdarya region. Ali Islampur, an entrepreneur from Afghanistan, effectively using the fertile lands and the warm sun of our region, created an intensive garden on 350 hectares in Khavast district of Syrdarya region, and a vineyard on 50 hectares. A thousand fruit trees are planted on each hectare of the garden – 7 varieties of apples, 3 varieties of pears.
“I have been in Uzbekistan for three years already, during which intensive gardens were created in Khavast district. They are very convenient for processing, shaping fruit trees, spraying fertilizers, watering and harvesting. In such gardens, trees receive even sunlight, and good natural ventilation”, says Ali Islampur.
It should be noted that in accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to introduce a cluster system in the development of viticulture, state support for attracting advanced technologies in this sphere”, to provide state financial support to subjects of viticulture, horticulture and greenhouse farms, additional funds are allocated annually from the republican budget subsidies for 100 billion UZS.
1 billion 200 million UZS were allocated for an intensive garden, created with the participation of an Afghan investor. These funds were used to launch a drip irrigation system.
“Our garden is developing well thanks to the support and subsidies of Uzbekistan. This year we plan to harvest 100 tons of crops and enter the world market. Receiving high yields every year, we will be able to provide the population with high-quality fruits and export them to foreign countries”, says a foreign investor.
It should be noted that residents living nearby work in the garden on a permanent and seasonal basis. Creating a favorable investment environment in Uzbekistan will further expand the possibilities for implementing successful projects and employing the population by attracting such foreign entrepreneurs and investors.
