LLC Dong Stone Progress in Ishtikhan district of Samarkand region began its activities in 2020 thanks to the attraction of foreign direct investment.

The company, which employs 30 people, extracts marble. The total cost of the project launched by Chinese investors is $4 million. The production capacity of the enterprise is 10 thousand cubic meters of marble per year.

The company’s investors plan to launch the second stage of the project to expand production. To this end, when the company is founded, it is planned to establish the activities of Samarkand Stone Trade Corporation JV LLC, specializing in the processing of natural stone and the production of up to 50 types of products.

The leadership of the enterprise carries out in the district center the construction of a workshop for processing raw materials. Within the framework of this project, it is expected to allocate direct foreign investments for $3.5 million. The total cost of the project is $8 million. As a result of the launch of the second stage, 100 more people will be employed. 70-80 percent of products are planned to be exported.
