Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Uzbekistan, Hassan bin Hamza Hashim.

During the dialogue, the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar and prospects for its further development were discussed. 

Particular attention was given to expanding joint projects in the political, trade, economic, and investment sectors and strengthening interparliamentary relations.

An exchange of views took place with the Shura Council of the State of Qatar on enhancing the work of the interparliamentary friendship group and establishing dialogue with regional councils. 

The parties agreed to organize a productive discussion with representatives of the Shura Council of Qatar during the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be held in Tashkent. 

Following the meeting, the importance of further developing comprehensive relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar was emphasized.
