The central amphitheater of Nukus hosted the international hand-to-hand combat tournament R1 Aral Sea Cup.

At the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orynbaev addressed the participants, wishing them success.

The tournament then commenced, featuring professional athletes not only from Uzbekistan but also from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Türkiye, and Italy.

In the 62 kg category, the victory went to Abdumajid Kasymov, in the 70 kg category to Nilufar Polvonova, in the 73 kg category to Azizkhon Abdullayev, and in the 97 kg category to Begzodbek Makhamatov.

The main bout of the international tournament in the 97 kg category ended with a confident win by Ogabek Jumaniyazov.

The winners of the international tournament were awarded cash prizes along with commemorative gifts from the organizers.
