Namangan State University together with Namangan Territorial Representative Office of the Agency for Promoting Foreign Language Learning held an international scientific-practical conference on “Problems and solutions of teaching foreign languages based on integrative competence approaches”.
It was attended by professors from the University of Lisbon, West University of Timisoara, representatives of the Language Learning Center of the King Sejong Institute in Namangan, and KOICA teachers.

The participants discussed modern approaches to teaching a foreign language and issues of intercultural dialogue, innovative technologies in teaching a foreign language in preschool and primary education, problems of teaching foreign languages for professional purposes in non-philological areas, and current problems of foreign literary studies, linguistic translation.

“We discussed the scientific works of masters, researchers, and young scientists”, says the head of NSU Press Club Sanjarbek Hamidov. – Views were exchanged on the experience of Uzbekistan, Korea, Romania, Portugal, and the United States in teaching foreign languages.
