Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairperson of the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Forced Labor Tanzila Narbayeva met with the CEO of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) Alan McClay.

It was noted that all the necessary conditions are being created in Uzbekistan for conducting successful investment activities and business, as well as organizing decent work based on the recommendations of international organizations.

The importance of using raw cotton grown by the BCI standards system in the production of textile products was noted.

The parties discussed the issues of introducing international standards, building up cooperation, developing the textile industry through the implementation of new projects.
