On 4 February, a Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted on the establishment of an international public fund named after Alisher Navoi.

The main tasks of the Fund are:

the study and popularization of life, humanistic ideas, as well as the scientific and literary heritage of Alisher Navoi in Uzbekistan and abroad;

the translation of Alisher Navoi’s works into foreign languages, creation of perfect scientific publications, their publication in the country and abroad;

the promotion of the activities of writers and scientists exploring the scientific and literary heritage of Alisher Navoi, collection of scientific and artistic works created by them, cooperation with scientific and creative centers for the study of the poet’s creativity, including in foreign countries;

the annual conduction on 9 February, on the birthday of Alisher Navoi, of the international conference (symposium) and “Navoi readings”.
