From February 28 to March 16, 2024, Tashkent will host the International Opera and Ballet Festival, organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan.

Spectators will see famous productions worldwide, prepared by leading theater companies and choreographers.

The festival program includes performances that combine classics and modernity. An innovative approach to dramaturgy and scenography will allow to present stories with a new interpretation.

The State Academic Grand Theater named after Alisher Navoi will present premiere performances of Boris Eifman’s ballet “Russian Hamlet”, choreographic productions “Like Breathing” by Mauro Bigonzetti and “Gabrielle Chanel” by Yuri Possokhov, the play “Chotto Desh” by Akram Khan and the ballet “Romeo and Juliet” by Vyacheslav Samodurov. Viewers will also see Offenbach’s opera “The Tales of Hoffmann”, directed by Stefano Poda.
