Head of the CIS Election Observation Mission Headquarters Evgeniy Kozyak visited Syrdarya region and got acquainted with the preparations for the presidential elections in Uzbekistan.

The Chairman of the 8th Syrdarya district election commission, Jamshidkhon Nuritdinov, noted that 3511 people are involved in 284 election commissions. 2,546 of them previously participated in the elections, 1,646 are women, 718 are young people at the age of 21-30. 524 members of the commission are representatives of civil society institutions, 129 are lawyers, 2922 are teachers and other specialists who are well aware of electoral legislation.

The international observer visited polling stations 15, 19 and 20 in Gulistan, talked with the chairmen of the election commissions.
