The women’s ITF W15 tournament, included in the International Tennis Federation’s competition calendar, is currently taking place on the courts of the Olympic Village in Tashkent.

The event has brought together around 30 tennis players from 17 countries.

Today, Uzbekistan’s representative Aleksandra Barmicheva defeated Odeta Panasa of Latvia with a score of 7:5, 6:0. In the second round, she will face Laima Vladson of Lithuania.

Also in the first round, Sabrina Olimjonova will play against neutral athlete Daria Khomutyanskaya, while Daria Shubina will meet Eva Marie Desvignes of Singapore.

The tournament will continue until October 26.
