International Investment Forum continued in panel sessions

The Second Tashkent International Investment Forum is attended by heads of several prestigious international structures, business companies, and representatives of the business community.

After a successful plenary session, panel sessions were held on the development of cooperation based on investment potential, accelerating the dialogue between entrepreneurs.

Thus, at the event on “Trade finance: a look into the future”, moderated by Sergey Stanovkin, Head of BBC World News commercial representatives in Eurasia, it was noted that trade finance supports approximately 80-90 percent of the trade flow.

According to experts, today the volume of unsecured transactions is about $1.7 trillion, and more than 40 percent of them are accounted for by SMEs. The complexity of transactions, the large number of participants, including banks, export credit agencies, limit the possibilities of financing SMEs.

At the same time, the session “Tourism and retail: challenges and opportunities” continued its work.

At the event, it was noted that the tourism sector is closely connected with almost all sectors of the economy and society. Nowadays, shopping tourism is becoming an increasingly important component of the tourism value chain.

Foreign experts unanimously agreed that the hotel and restaurant industry is considered the main component of tourism infrastructure and hospitality. The participants noted that the tourism sector stimulates the creation of new jobs, the development of entrepreneurship and investment activity.
