An Industrial Fair with the participation of enterprises of the construction industry, light, leather and shoe, furniture, electrical, pharmaceutical, food industry has kicked off in Namangan.

More than 190 industrial enterprises and economic entities are taking part in the fair.

The event aims at establishing cooperative ties in the supply of import-substituting products to large industrial enterprises by local small private businesses. In addition, it will provide wider opportunities for small businesses while strengthening cooperation between the region's enterprises in the production of light, leather and shoe, food and furniture industries.

150 industrial enterprises of the region are demonstrating their products.

200 types of products imported by 10 organizations and enterprises of Thermal Power Plants JSC, Turakurgan TPP are presented at the exhibition.

Within the framework of the localization program, 234.4 billion UZS worth of products were produced in 2020 and for 564 billion UZS last year. The volume of production increased 2.4 times, more than a thousand new jobs were created.

The event was attended by the Deputy Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan Galina Saidova, Hokim of Namangan region Shavkat Abdurazzoqov.
