The event was attended by senior officials and specialists from domestic and foreign organizations. It was organized by the Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.
It was noted that measures taken to mitigate the socio-economic consequences of COVID-19 and negative impact of the pandemic on the country’s economy are yielding practical results.
The event is aimed at developing scientific proposals and recommendations on how each country, region, enterprise, entrepreneur and population should protect themselves economically in the current conditions of the global economic crisis, as well as to eliminate the socio-economic consequences caused by the pandemic.
Experts discussed the improvement of measures and mechanisms for maintaining macroeconomic stability in predicting the development of Uzbekistan’s economy in the conditions of the pandemic, development of new industries and the real sector as a factor of poverty reduction in the context of digitalization, employment and people’s wellbeing, development of services.
