International Folklore Festival “Boysun Bahori” to take place on May 7-8
According to Surkhandarya Regional Hokimiyat, the festival, during which centuries-old folk values and traditions, our ethnographic art is sung, will be held on May 7-8 in the picturesque village of Padang, Boysun district, Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Surkhandarya Regional Hokimiyat and other partner organizations are actively preparing for the high-level folklore festival.

Over 200 representatives of folklore groups of Uzbekistan will demonstrate ancient songs, music and costumes characteristic of their regions at the festival. Masters of folklore art and specialists from several foreign countries are expected to take part in the event.

Competitions in national kurash, ethnosport, kupkari, kite flying, tug of war, chillak and other folk games will be held.
Following the festival, participants who have become winners in various categories will be awarded.
