International Festival: Uzbekistan youth talk with the Nobel Prize laureates

On April 12-15, the IV International Nobel Festival was held at the Ziyo Forum Center for the Development of Science and Education, in Tashkent.

The festival brought together 10 Nobel laureates, 10 Yutuq award winners and representatives of 500 universities from 155 countries and over 500,000 participants. It was attended by students from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Germany, who had the opportunity to ask questions to the Nobel Prize laureates.

The festival was attended by Nobel Peace Prize laureate, head of the Vaccine Alliance, ex-head of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, Professor of Genetics at Harvard Medical School and Professor of Health Sciences and Technology at Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology George Church, CEO of OurCrowd Jonathan Medved, Japanese physicist Takaaki Kajita and many other famous scientists of the world.

“The event in Uzbekistan was organized by the Ziyo Forum Science and Education Development Foundation. The festival, as expected, served as a platform for the mutual integration of thousands of students, scientists, successful experts from the world community”, says the Director of the foundation, Bobur Farmonov.

The main part of the festival, recognized by the participants as a major international technological and scientific-enlightenment event, ended on April 15, but small-scale events within its framework will continue until April 22.
