International Festival of National Clothes kicks off in Shakhrisabz
The grand opening ceremony of the II International Festival of National Clothes took place in Shakhrisabz.
On March 21, the grand opening ceremony of the II International Festival of National Clothes took place in Shakhrisabz.
The event, organized by the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was attended by designers from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Georgia.
Following the festival, 3 best designers in the nomination “Golden Needle”, the best model “Bibi Awards”, as well as winners in a number of other nominations will be selected. Guests from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will evaluate the works of designers as members of the jury.
As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee for Tourism Development, a memorandum is expected to be signed between the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and the SCO Public Diplomacy Center in Uzbekistan on regular conduction of cultural and artistic activities of Uzbekistan in the SCO countries.
