11:00 / 2024-05-29

The Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia Regional Capacity Development Center (CCAMTAC), the International Monetary Fund, organized an international workshop in Samarkand on increasing tax legislation compliance in the era of digitalization.

It is attended by specialists from tax agencies and large audit companies from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan. At the beginning of the event, the First Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mubin Mirzayev, informed the guests about tax policy, innovations, and digitalization in the field.

“Over the past five years, huge changes have been made in our country’s tax administration”, says Mubin Mirzayev. “IT technologies have created additional convenience for taxpayers and our employees. It also made it possible to limit corruption by reducing the human factor in conducting tax affairs. We must take work in this direction to a new level. From this point of view, this workshop can be called a platform for exchanging experiences. Here, we can look at our activities through the eyes of foreign specialists, which will help not only evaluate it, but also identify existing errors and shortcomings”.

The event, which serves as a platform for interaction between tax and financial organizations and CCAMTAC member states, will run in sessions until May 30.
