The videoconference was attended by leading film experts, organizers, experts and producers from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, Iran, Armenia and other countries.

Director of the International Federation of Film Producers' Associations (FIAPF) Florence Girot supported the holding of this festival in the format of the Festival of Festivals. She noted that FIAPF supports the Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road” in the format “Festival of Festivals”, which is being revived at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Undoubtedly, this festival in Central Asia will arouse great interest in the world cinematic community. FIAPF is ready to provide all possible assistance in holding this festival.

At the conference, experts put forward proposals for holding the Tashkent International Film Festival. In particular, the film expert and art critic Svetlana Slapka, the Director-General of the EuroAsia Global Connecting agency, proposed to hold the festival from September 29 to October 3 this year. The proposal was supported by other experts as well. Taking into account the circumstances of the pandemic and other organizational issues, the experts concluded that the autumn for the Tashkent festival will be favorable, since this date does not overlap with the schedules of other international festivals.
