The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan hosted a webinar with the participation of experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. The issues of dissemination of legal information and exchange of experience in the sphere were discussed.
Representatives of the National Center of Legal Information of Belarus, the Institute of Legal Information and Legislation of Kazakhstan, as well as the Ministry of Justice of Russia, spoke about the current trends in the development of legal information.
Uzbekistan has adopted the Concept for improving rulemaking activities. Under the Law “On dissemination of legal information and ensuring access to it”, the National Database of Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan (www.lex.uz) received the official source status.
It was noted that it is necessary to accelerate the introduction of modern information and communication technologies in the rulemaking process.
A unified electronic system for the development and approval of draft legal documents – project.gov.uz – has been launched in Uzbekistan in this direction. The regulation.gov.uz portal, intended for the discussion of draft laws, has been modernized.
In Belarus, the maintenance of control copies of regulatory legal acts has been completely transferred to electronic format. And in Russia and Kazakhstan, the capabilities of artificial intelligence are widely used both in the process of rulemaking and in legal advice, as well as in the provision of other areas of activity of the justice authorities.
