Miners, geologists and experts on the technological processes of Orano Mining visited the Navoiuran State Enterprise.

Within the framework of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France on November 21-22, 2022, a trilateral Agreement on strategic cooperation in expanding uranium mining and processing was signed between the Ministry of Mining and Geology (formerly the State Committee of Geology and Mineral Resources), Navoiuran State Enterprise and Orano Mining Company. A Working Group consisting of geologists, hydrogeologists, mining engineers and process engineers was created to present an assessment report and create a detailed action plan for the roadmap of technical cooperation.

A Working Group consisting of representatives of the company met with the Director General of Navoiuran State Enterprise Jakhongir Hasanov, and discussed activities that need to be implemented within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement. Then, the visitors got acquainted with the activities and production processes of the constituent divisions of the enterprise – Zafarabad mining department, Uchkuduk and Nurabad production sites, mining and production workshops.

In the future, this cooperation will serve the sustainable development of the raw material base of uranium, increase the volume of its extraction and processing.
