A delegation from Tashkent region, consisting of representatives of the tourism sector, tour operators, and cultural group members, participated in the prestigious international tourism exhibition KITF, held from April 23 to 25 this year in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the exhibition, productive meetings were held with representatives of tourism organizations from Russia, China, Thailand, the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as several regions of Kazakhstan, including Turkistan, Zhetysu, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Akmola, Mangystau, East Kazakhstan, and Pavlodar.
During the negotiations, important agreements were reached to develop bilateral tourism ties, implement joint projects, and exchange experience. An informational tour was organized for the representatives of Tashkent region.
The conditions and amenities created for tourists at several notable sites in Turkistan region were showcased during the event. Guests visited the Arslanbob Mausoleum in Otyrar district, the ancient Otrar settlement, the Hazrat Sultan complex (including the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, the underground mosque “Hilvat”, and the Mausoleum of Rabiya Sultan Begim), the “Ethnoaul” complex, and the “Uly Dala Eli” museum.
B2B meetings were also held between representatives of the tourism sectors of Tashkent and Turkistan regions, where strengthening bilateral cooperation, opening new routes, and increasing tourist flows were discussed. Experts presented the tourism opportunities available in Tashkent region.
