Representatives of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the international seminar “Expanding Social Insurance: Strategies, Innovations, and Country Solutions”, organized by the World Bank in Bangkok.

The event brought together experts from East, South, and Central Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa, who discussed issues related to ensuring the financial sustainability of social insurance systems, enhancing their inclusiveness, and integrating systems of insurance, healthcare, social assistance, and taxation.

Representatives of the National Agency for Social Protection provided information on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at modernizing the social protection system, introducing social insurance mechanisms, and supporting vulnerable groups of the population.

Following the seminar, recommendations were developed to promote the development of inclusive and sustainable social protection systems.
