Namangan hosts a roundtable discussion for small and medium-sized businesses operating in the textile industry.
The event was organized by the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, the Regional Hokimiyat, and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The event, dedicated to promoting exports and certifying textile enterprises, discussed issues of achieving production stability, increasing the competitiveness of textile companies, and entering the EU market.

GIZ, together with the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, is implementing a project aimed at developing a green economy, eliminating environmental problems, and implementing measures defined in the Presidential Decree “On the state program for the implementation of the Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy in the Year of Support for Youth and Business” of February 21, 2024.

More than 60 local enterprises are participating in the project, with 20 operating in Namangan region.

The plant annually produces 20 thousand tons of nails, screws, 18 thousand tons of roll paper and exports to Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Russia. The main goal is the European market.

The project contributes to improving production quality, and most importantly, obtaining the CE marking for entering the European market.
