The Cultural Heritage Agency hosted a meeting with the leadership of Italy’s Assorestauro Association.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture, Director of the Cultural Heritage Agency Kamola Akilova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan Agostino Pinna, President of Assorestauro Association Alessandro Bozzetti.

Mrs. Kamola Akilova noted that the preservation of historical architecture is one of the important areas of Uzbekistan – Italy diplomatic relations.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan Agostino Pinna admitted that tourists worldwide strive to get to Uzbekistan, especially to the city of Samarkand. 

Assorestauro Association cooperates with China, Russia, Canada and Iran in the restoration and regeneration of monuments.

The program of the current trip of the association employees includes the study of the cultural heritage of Samarkand.
