International conference on food security
An international scientific and practical conference titled “Global climate change and the role of plant genetics and experimental biology in food security” was held in Tashkent, organized by the Institute of Genetics and Plant Experimental Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the international scientific journal “Science and Innovation”.
The event addressed themes such as innovative approaches in genetics and breeding, plant genetic diversity, resistance mechanisms to abiotic and biotic stress, molecular genetics and bioinformatics, plant biochemistry and biotechnology, phytopathogens, and biological pest control methods.

Over 400 participants from Uzbekistan, the CIS, Europe, Asia, and other regions participated in the conference. Among them were 20 international scientists and hundreds of local researchers, doctoral candidates, and students.

A panel of scientific experts reviewed over 250 research papers, of which 150 were selected for presentation. Foreign authors submitted 40 of the total papers.
