The city of Turkestan has been officially admitted to the list of Eurasia World Heritage Cities. In this regard, the 10th international conference of the organization was held in this city.

Akim of Turkestan Rashid Ayupov expressed gratitude for the interest and participation of representatives of cities included in the Eurasia World Heritage List.

The virtual conference was attended by representatives of more than 50 cities from 23 countries with advanced experience in preserving the historical and cultural values ​​of Iran, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Poland, Greece, Indonesia, Germany, Morocco, Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and China.

The participants discussed issues of preservation of ancient heritage and culture, development of tourism, improvement of the city, preservation of its historical attractiveness in the conditions of construction of new structures.

Following the event, the declaration of the 10th International Conference of the Organization of World Heritage Cities for Euro-Asia was adopted.
