Samarkand hosts the First Spring Congress of the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (ELSA) on “Minimally invasive surgery on the Silk Road”.

More than 500 experts from 45 countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, South Korea, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Japan, UAE, India, Yemen, Türkiye are invited to the event.

As part of the congress, a workshop was held on “Laparoscopic skills and flexible endoscopy” at the Specialized Center for Pediatric Surgery of Samarkand State Medical University.

It was attended by scientists from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan and other countries.

At the sessions of the workshop, lectures were heard on surgical operations performed laparoscopically, their features. Practical classes and masterclasses were organized for the participants of the congress. Highly qualified surgeons performed demonstrative complex surgical interventions.
