XII international conference "Central Asia – 2018. Internet and information-library resources in science, education, culture and business” started in Termez.

The event, organized by the Press and Information Agency of Uzbekistan in conjunction with the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi, khokimiyat of Surkhandarya region, the ministries of Culture, Higher and Secondary Special Education, Public Education, on Development of Information Technologies and Communications, as well as a number of other organizations, was attended by scientists, senior officials of ministries and departments, representatives of information-library and information-resource centers, leading specialists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Iran, Israel, Pakistan.



This international conference, traditionally held on the initiative of the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi, serves to improves activities of libraries, formation of electronic information resources, exchange of experience on methods of effective use in archives, museums, scientific, educational and medical institutions, ministries and departments, introduction of new ideas in this direction.
Reports of national and foreign scientists, experts and specialists were heard at the international conference.
