Tashkent hosts the 11th International Scientific and Practical Conference on “The impact of the environment on the health of mother and child”.
The conference, organized by the Karakalpak Medical Institute and international partners, is attended by about 30 leading experts, scientists, and specialists from 15 countries, representatives of international organizations, medical universities, scientific and practical centers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

“The international conference, organized by the Karakalpak Medical Institute every two years, is aimed at finding solutions to the problems existing in our country related to the protection of maternal and child health”, the Rector of the Institute, Deputy Chairman of the Conference Oral Ataniyazova said. “This year’s event is dedicated to reviewing and discussing, together with international partners, important proposals and initiatives related to the prevention of diseases arising from climate change”.

In this process, it is essential to study the experience of representatives of the international community based on a serious approach to maternal and child health.

On the first day of the conference, reports were heard on current issues of maternal and child health, global issues, air quality, nutrition, and the impact of the environment on children’s development.

According to the program, on the second day of the event, experts from UNICEF, the Netherlands, Türkiye, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Spain, India, Germany, Korea, Russia, Serbia, and Uzbekistan will deliver speeches.
