Bukhara hosts the XVI International Conference “Central Asia 2023: Internet and Information/Library Resources in Science, Education, Culture and Business” and the II Commonwealth Forum “Book and Reading as a Strategic Resource in the Development of Society”.

At the events organized by the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi and the Regional Hokimiyat, it was noted that New Uzbekistan had entered a stage of rapid socio-economic development and is boldly striding towards building the Third Renaissance.

The event is attended online and offline by specialists from Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Belarus, the United States, the Netherlands, and Lithuania.

Within the framework of the conference, workshops and master classes are organized on problems of information and library activities, issues of training in the field, the state of scientific and methodological activities in libraries, and the importance of using world information resources in scientific activities.

Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Asadjon Khodjayev and others spoke at the event’s opening ceremony.
