Tashkent hosted International Chess Tournament for the Prize of the President of Uzbekistan.

The championship was held at the International Chess Academy.

Sanan Syugirov from Russia took first place with 7.5 points and received $120,000. Hans Moke Niemann from the United States took second and Maxim Matlakov from Russia the third place.

Javokhir Sindorov took the fifth, Jakhongir Vakhidov – the eighth, Nodirbek Yakubbayev – the 12th, Shamsiddin Vakhidov – the 13th, Nodirbek Abdusattarov – the 14th, Abdumalik Abdusalimov – the 19th, and Artyk Nigmatov – the 20th place.

The awarding ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov, Advisor to FIDE President Berik Balgabaev, President of the Arab Chess Federation Sheikh Saud Al Mualla and Chairman of FIDE Events Commission Ozgur Solakoglu.
