International Chess Academy in Tashkent hosted two tournaments at the same time. These are the First International Chess Festival “Scheveningen Team Tournament” and the national championship (1st league) in chess among men and women.

The national team of Uzbekistan played 10 games with the national team, which included athletes from Russia, Lithuania and Belarus. Uzbekistan team lost the meeting.

About 100 chess players took part in the national championship. According to its results, Oksana Slapoguzova, Aziza Tursunova, Sitora Saparova, Afruza Khamdamova, Muhammadzohid Suyarov and Abdulaziz Kurbonov rose to the podium.

The winners were awarded diplomas, medals and memorable gifts.
