On 17 September 2022, the Amphitheater of the Victory Park Memorial Complex hosted a solemn awarding ceremony for military personnel of Uzbekistan, who successfully performed and raised the flag of the country at the International Army Games 2022.
The solemn event was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, heads of ministries, agencies, state and public organizations, as well as media workers.
On August 15-17 this year, the servicemen of the national army took a worthy part in the International Army Games 2022, which are the most prestigious military competitions of the year, and won a set of medals.
In the VIII International Army Games, which were attended by 257 teams from 37 states, the team of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan won 7 gold, 10 silver and 5 bronze medals and took second place in the team event. They recorded 22 personal and team results, which was a worthy gift for the 31st anniversary of the country’s independence.
At the event, the heads of ministries and agencies, state and public organizations congratulated the team members and presented them with cash prizes.
Each serviceman who became the winner was encouraged with a cash bonus in the amount of ten, six and three times the official salary and a qualification category one level higher.
A group of servicemen who achieved high results at the International Army Games was awarded military ranks ahead of schedule.
The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, LieutenantGeneral Bakhodir Kurbonov, proudly noted that the national team of Uzbekistan, which fought in the International Army Games with the strongest teams in the world, achieved the best results this year.
“The desire for victory and resilience are the essence of the Uzbek soldier. He always has hot blood. Congratulations to all of you on your victory in the Army Games. I wish you strength and energy, success in your service. Your strength and confidence are reflected in your looks. No one dares to look you straight in the eyes. For me, an Uzbek soldier is the most courageous soldier”, Lieutenant General B. Kurbonov said.
Undoubtedly, the experience gained in the international arena, the results achieved will further enhance the knowledge and potential, professional training of military personnel serving in the ranks of Uzbekistan National Army.
