International Animation Forum kicks off in Tashkent

The International Animation Forum has kicked off in Tashkent and will run until April 22.

Animated films will be shown, competitions, lectures and creative meetings will be held during the event.

Tashkent International Animation Forum will bring together animators from Central Asian countries and leading animation specialists from Russia, Israel, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine. At the forum, the authors will inform about their works, which will then show to the general public on the big screen.

The events will be held at the Alisher Navoi Cinema Palace and the Yulduz Cinema.

Films of Uzbek animation, previously lost and damaged, will be shown within the framework of “Made in Uzbekistan. Yesterday”. “Made in Uzbekistan. Tomorrow” will demonstrate films created by young authors under 16 from Uzbekistan.

Anima-Doc will present cartoons based on real events and known facts. Participants will get acquainted with the animation of countries close to our culture in the Neighbors program.

The World Panorama program will include the best films from around the world.

“Education” will show the work of children from the animation studio WILD KIDS (Israel).

The 18+ program will include cartoons for an adult audience that reveal social and other issues.

A national competition will take place for works by young people under 18, as well as a competition for professional authors.
