In Farghona Region, eastern Uzbekistan, various spiritual enlightenment events, interesting shows and meetings are being arranged for pupils to spend their winter holidays meaningfully.

“Today, there are large numbers of people at culture and sport establishments and the Barkamol Avlod (young people’s harmonious development) centres. Precise events were mapped out jointly with partner organizations in order to make winter holidays interesting for children. All the necessary conditions have been created for pupils to visit theatres and watch various theatrical shows there,” says N.Ahmedov, deputy chief of the Farghona Regional public education department.

Artistic groups of the regional theatre of musical drama and comedy, the Russia academic drama theatre of Uzbekistan and the Kokand musical drama theatre staged new shows for children for the New Year holiday. Children are following with interest the adventures of Grandfather Frost, Snow Maiden and other fairly tale characters.

The regional puppet theatre is bringing joy to children with its rich new magical shows for the New Year as well as with its new play entitled “The adventures of a yellow fir tree”. Friendship is the main idea of this play which praises kindness and good qualities of human beings. Children find these shows to be impressive and unforgettable.
