Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan have held talks with the President of the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnership (AOTS) Shinya Kuwayama and other senior officials of this agency.
At the meeting, information was provided on the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, including in privatization of state facilities, as well as the activities of the recently created State Assets Management Agency.
The Japanese side was informed about the measures taken to transform state-owned enterprises, a complete transition to the principles of market relations, the formation of a competitive environment and the involvement of the private sector in state-owned enterprises.
Following the talks, agreements were reached on establishing cooperation between the Japanese association and the State Assets Management Agency of Uzbekistan, joint organization of courses, trainings and webinars, participation of Uzbekistan representatives in the events organized by AOTS.
