The first meeting of the inter-parliamentary commission on cooperation between the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Fergana.First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodik Safoyev, Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Asel Koduranova emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, developing legal bases for regular dialogue, cooperation in all directions.
At the meeting, the current state and prospects of inter-parliamentary relations were discussed.
Following the meeting, the Regulations of the inter-parliamentary commission on cooperation between the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Institute of Problems of Legislation and Parliamentary Studies under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Scientific Research Center of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic were signed.
