Astana hosted the Inter-Civilizational Dialogue among SCO Countries 2024, attended by more than 130 representatives from different countries.

Uzbekistan was represented by the leadership of the Information-Analytical Center for International Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, experts from the International Institute for Central Asia, and the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President.

The event was held under the auspices of the SCO Secretariat and the Press Office of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. It was timed to coincide with the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States, to be held on July 3-4 in Astana.

Special attention was paid to the SCO’s contribution to promoting cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, strengthening mutual understanding between peoples, and creating conditions for cultural exchange and interaction between the organization’s member countries.

The organizers also prepared a series of unique cultural heritage exhibitions for the participants.

Following the Forum, the participants agreed that the Inter-Civilizational Dialogue among SCO Countries 2024 has created an essential platform for cultural exchanges and mutual learning between the organization’s countries, creating a good opportunity for cooperation and further implementation of the Global Civilization Initiative.
