On October 12, 2020, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a videoconference on measures for improving the system of protecting intellectual property objects and identified tasks for improving legislation in this area, strengthening the protection of intellectual property.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of these priority tasks at the event organized at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry dedicated to the signing of a trilateral agreement on cooperation for the introduction of intellectual property objects into the activities of business entities and artisans.

It was noted that strengthening cooperation will contribute to streamlining the relations in intellectual property, its further development, provision of the wide introduction of intellectual property objects in the activities of business entities.

The creation of an Interdepartmental Council for the introduction of intellectual property objects in entrepreneurship and approval of its composition, as well as the development of a program for converting entrepreneurs' products into a brand was also considered at the event.
