Tashkent hosted the competition of innovative projects organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development in cooperation with the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications and the IT Park Directorate.

The competition was held under the Presidential Decree of May 28, 2020 “On urgent measures to support the tourism sector to reduce the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic”. The awarding ceremony was timed to the national holiday Navruz.

It should be noted that the start-up projects and innovative business ideas in tourism, including information programs and services aimed at creating amenities for tourists, will be partially subsidized for a total of 1.5 billion UZS.

According to the special competition commission’s decision, seven startup projects were selected to provide financial support for their implementation.

700 million UZS were allocated for partial financing of winners' startup projects.
