Innovative development of Uzbekistan’s economy
Tashkent hosted Republican Scientific Practical Conference on “Innovative development of Uzbekistan’s economy: foreign experience, trends and prospects”.
Tashkent hosted Republican Scientific Practical Conference on “Innovative development of Uzbekistan’s economy: foreign experience, trends and prospects”. The event was organized by the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investment and Tourism in cooperation with Scientific Research Center “Scientific background and problems of economic development of Uzbekistan” of Tashkent State University of Economics and the United Nations Development Programme.
It was attended by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of domestic and foreign organizations, scientific-research and education institutions, the diplomatic corps.
At the conference, it was noted that an important condition for development of the country is widespread introduction and use in the sectors of the economy and other areas of modern innovative technologies, achievements of science and technology.
The institutional base for stimulating innovations in Uzbekistan was considered. It was noted that, based on the experience of developed countries, it is necessary to provide large-scale tax breaks, pay attention to introducing appropriate amendments and additions to the legislation.
Participants of the conference discussed issues such as foreign experience in formation of innovative models of economic development, forms of supporting scientific activities, effective ways of introducing innovations in education.
Relevant recommendations were developed on the considered issues.
