The event was organized by the Development Strategy Center, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications, the Ministry of Innovation Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Huawei company within the framework of the Second Huawei Central Asian Innovation Day. The forum was attended by representatives of state and international organizations, the sphere of production and scientific community.

The main goals of the forum are to develop the digital economy in Central Asia, including in Uzbekistan, to digitize the state organizations’ activities, to ensure the country’s participation in the global innovation rating, as well as to provide detailed information on smart technologies and Huawei’s services provided to customers.

At the event, experts discussed the backlog elimination in development of Uzbekistan telecommunications infrastructure, attracting investments in the sphere, introduction of new innovative technologies in industry, tourism, transport and other industries, strengthening foreign economic activities of the region’s countries through development of the digital economy.
