The next meeting of the 4th Jizzakh District Election Commission for the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place.

It was attended by the heads and deputies of Jizzakh branch of Uzbektelecom JSC, regional departments of the National Guard and healthcare, long-term observers of the OSCE/ODIHR, and representatives of central and local media.

The Сhairman of the 4th Jizzakh District Election Commission Shavkat Sharipov led the meeting.

At the meeting, officials heard information about the preparation and conduction of elections, the cost estimates approved by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the expenditure of funds allocated to the 4th Jizzakh District Election Commission, the number of voters who voted early.

The participants were informed about the inspection of polling stations by the OSCE/ODIHR long-term observers Mr. Erlan Dzhumashev and Ms. Joan Adele Brown.

During the preparation of pre-election events and voting, employees of the internal affairs bodies are ensuring public order and security, taking measures to prevent terrorists, sabotage, and other emergencies.

At the meeting, the deputy head of the Jizzakh Regional Health Department A.Umurzakov gave detailed information on the coordination of work during the election period of ambulance service, preparation of vehicles, provision of necessary spare parts and fuel and lubricants, medicines, and medical supplies in accordance with established standards.

In conclusion, the Chairman of the 4th Jizzakh District Election Commission Mr. Sharipov and other officials answered journalists’ questions.
